State update

Dear Wabbit enthusiasts, I wanted to take a minute to thank all players and parents for your involvement in the team this year. We have set the new standard for ultimate at Wayzata this year. We have the most wins we've ever had and the regular season and enter the state tournament with the opportunity to compete for 9th place in state in our third year as a program. Players your dedication to the team has been higher then it has ever been in the past and we're seeing the results of that. In order to check game times and who we play please visit the link below: http://scores.usaultimate.org/scores/#youth-open/tournament/10835 Pool F (0-0) F1 Apple Valley High School (0-0) F2 Bloomington (0-0) F3 Wayzata (0-0) F4 Robbinsdale-Cooper Sat Fld Game Score Fld Game Score 9:00 L3 F1F3 - L4 F2F4 - 10:40 L3 F1F4 - L4 F2F3 - 12:20 L3 F1F2 - L4 F3F4 - We're in pool F. We'll be on field L3 or L4 all morning Saturday. We open play with the top seed in our pool Apple Valley @ 9:00. Our second game of the day is a rematch with Bloomington which gave us the only blemish on our record yet. Finally we end pool play with Cooper which is a team I was hoping we would get the chance to play this year. Tournament Play: Many of you have not had the pleasure of playing in an ultimate tournament yet. The day is very long and you need to be prepared for it. You will see somewhere between 20-40 games all being played and the same time. It's a great thing to see and a lot of fun. In order for you to personally have a good day it is important that you are prepared. Be sure to start hydrating immediately if you haven't done so. Also be sure to Carb up if you can tonight and tomorrow night. What to bring: Rain Gear Cleats Both Jerseys (black and neon) Water bottle (they will have places to refill your bottle so no need to create extra waste) Food (usually snack type food that you can grab and eat by the handful, clif bars, trail mix, cereal all ideas) Sun Screen Money for lunch at 2:20 if you want it Extra layers in case it is cold or windy (comfort is of the utmost importance) Extra Socks Parents: The league has stated that each team must have at least one volunteer representing their team at the tournament. I just got an email yesterday about this and I want to apologize for the late notice. Would anyone be willing to volunteer to help at the tournament. The whole tournament/league is volunteer run and without volunteers we wouldn't get very far. Please let me know if you would be interested. If you're planning on going anyway it has been stated that you would still be able to watch us play as well at least in part. If you're planning on coming to watch bring a chair as there will probably be no bleachers to sit on. Thanks for your support also the best parental support we've ever had. Timeline: The plan is to carpool from the high school. We will leave @ 7:35 AM from the high school. If you are not here by 7:35 we will leave without you. If you have any alternate plans then joining our carpool you need to let me know via email, facebook or text. We'll see you this weekend. Thanks, Coach Allen I think it's all here. If you have any questions please let me know.
