Fall Ultimate

Hello Wabbit nation. Hope summer has treated you well. It's been a great August for ultimate. As school starts we will be looking to start playing pick up/fall practice soon. Keep your eyes on facebook and this blog for more information. Super excited for the coming year of ultimate. One of our goals this year is to have two teams so if you know someone who would like to be a serious ultimate player ask them to come out. If you know someone who wants to have fun but might not be there very much ask them to come out. Captains and myself will meet the first week of school to decide what the fall will look like. Keep your eyes open.

Returning players

All players who will be returning to play next year. We will have a mandatory meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2:30 in E-105 (PE classroom). At this meeting we will discuss summer league/YCC, summer pick-up and most importantly captains for next season. If you are interested in being a captain please be prepared to tell the group why you would make a good captain. It doesn't matter what grade you will be in for next year. If you are interested please say so. All returning players will be able to vote for three captains. We will end up with anywhere from 1 to 3 captains for next season.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow after school. If you cannot attend you need to come and see me either today, tomorrow or Wednesday before school. To vote for captain and let me know your plans with the team. If you have any questions please let me know.

I have not seen some of you for a very long time and I would like you to check in with me and let me know where you are.

Eden Prairie Game

This Thursday we will be playing Eden Prairie at Eden Prairie starting at 4:00 PM. To get to the fields they have asked us to park near the performing arts center at the high school (Southwest corner of the school) then walk across the road south to Round Lake Park. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Today's Game

Today we will travel to Mounds view to play at Turtle Lake Elementary School. We'll be leaving right after school. Looking forward to seeing you all out on this great day for ultimate.

Game Thursday

Change in our game this week!! We will be playing at Mounds View. More information to follow.

Upcoming Games

Our game for this week has been scheduled and we will play at home. We will be playing Mounds View B in what looks to be a great game on hopefully a great day for ultimate. Look forward to seeing you out on the field.

Granite City Classic

We are planning on playing in the Granite City Classic May 14 and May 15. This tournament will be located in St. Cloud on the same fields we played on for Face Off last weekend. If you plan on attending please add it to the comments. Also if you can only be there for part of the weekend please let that be known in the comments as well.

Upcoming Games

Our upcoming game schedule should be updated by early next week. The league has to schedule the games before we know what we're looking at.

St. Cloud Face-Off Tournament

What: One day ultimate tournament for B teams
Where: Whitney Park, St. Cloud
When: Saturday, April 30 from 9AM-4PM

There will be 6 games total. Each player will be responsible to bring a lunch.

If you are going to play in this tournament please leave a comment to let us know you are going.

We need to have 16 people signed up by Friday, April 22. If we have enough players signed up we could take two seperate teams. Sign up NOW.

Jersey's/Shorts

Jerseys and shorts have both been ordered. The shorts should be in before the end of the week. Jerseys will not be finished this week but will hopefully be in by our game the following Thursday.

Practice/Games

We will practice tomorrow after school from 2:45-4:45. We will have two games this week. Wednesday we will play at home against Orono at a time TBA. Thursday we will be on the road to Spring Lake Park the game will start at 6PM. We will work out carpools Wednesday. If you can drive or your parent can drive it may be helpful.

Practice

Practice was cancelled for today we will hold normal practice on Wednesday. Please be sure to have the right gear. Make sure you bring a white shirt and a dark shirt. You should also have water and your cleats. Also there is some debate on whether to have practice on Monday or Tuesday of each week. Leave a comment as to your preference.

Ultimate Registration

If you missed the meeting today please stop by and grab the registration forms from Mr. Allen in PE or one of the captains Kristen Anderson, Robbie Eisenrich, or Luke Swiecichowski.

All forms and money will be due Friday, March 25.

Return all required forms to Mr. Allen or a captain.

Spring Meeting update

We will delay the meeting until Monday to allow for proper celebration of St. Patrick's Day. So there will be no meeting Thursday but instead we will meet Monday, March 21 right after school. Location is to be determined and will follow in another post.

In the meantime get out and throw the disc.

Spring Meeting

Anyone interested in playing Ultimate should attend the informational/registration meeting. Thursday, March 17 right after school in E-105 (PE Classroom).

Spring Ultimate

Wabbit faithful. A new season is just around the corner so I hope you've dusted off your cleats or at least started to look for them. We will be having a meeting sometime next week more details to come. If you are interested in playing ultimate for Wayzata this season please come to the meeting.
